JUNE 4, 2008 – NEW YORK, NY – Stanley-Bostitch announced today the introduction of its new model N80CB-HQ coil framing nailer during a press conference at the Westin New York Hotel. Global Product Manager Dan Burgjohann said, “The new N80CB-HQ builds on an award-winning tool platform that professionals trust. For years, contractors have relied on the N80CB-1 to perform applications such as framing, sheathing, and subflooring in production environments. Now, they can expect that same level of reliability but with the added benefit of accepting coil collated HurriQuake® disaster-resistant nails.”
The N80CB-HQ, weighing only 8.4 pounds, accepts 15-degree coil framing/sheathing nails between 2" to 3-1/4" long (diameters = .099 to .131). It is compatible with the highly-acclaimed HurriQuake® disaster-resistant nail, which allows contractors to nearly double a home’s resistance to high winds while making a home up to 50% stronger against earthquake conditions. Of course, these performance characteristics apply only if patented HurriQuake® nails are used when sheathing in new construction or re-nailing a roof when remodeling. Its side load composite canister, which has a capacity of 225 HurriQuake® nails, is constructed to withstand the rigors of the jobsite while offering easy-access when reloading fasteners.
Featuring aircraft-grade aluminum construction, the tool’s cylinder and piston work in concert with hardened steel parts such as the driver blade and nose assembly to deliver durability and reliability over extended periods of professional use. Available in July, the N80CB-HQ will be available in construction supply stores and is expected to sell for approximately $299.
